#1 Woodson, a double-ended instrument that serves as both a plastic filling instrument and a small periosteal elevator.

The paddle end carries and shapes composite, cements, liners and temporary materials, and it lifts tissue or retracts gingiva when needed. The plugger end condenses material into the preparation and adapts it to the walls.
